2008 Construction

US 15 – From Slate Hill Road Interchange to Gettysburg Road

• Perform temporary widening along US 15 Northbound and Southbound for traffic control.

• Construct ramps for new interchange at Lower Allen Drive (formerly Zimmerman Drive).

• Construct retaining wall along ramp from Lower Allen Drive to US 15 Southbound.

• Construct retaining wall along ramp from Lower Allen Drive to US 15 Northbound.

• Construct sound barrier along US 15 Southbound.

• Construct sound barrier along US 15 Northbound.

• Construct permanent outside shoulder and travel lane of US 15 Northbound and Southbound.

• Construct left-turn lane and temporary ramp from US 15 Northbound to PA 581 Westbound.

• Close existing loop ramp from US 15 Northbound to PA 581 Westbound.

 PA 581 – Viaduct Bridge over Hummel Avenue, 22^nd Street, and Norfolk Southern Railroad

• Widen Eastbound side of viaduct bridge to accommodate a third lane.

• Widen existing box culvert over Cedar Run.

• Install storm water management facilities along PA 581.

 2009 Construction

US 15 – From Slate Hill Road Interchange to Gettysburg Road

• Demolish existing US 15 bridge over Lower Allen Drive (formerly Zimmerman Drive).

• Construct new US 15 bridge over Lower Allen Drive (formerly Zimmerman Drive).

• Construct permanent passing lane and median shoulder of US 15 Northbound and Southbound.

PA 581 – Viaduct Bridge over Hummel Avenue, 22^nd Street, and Norfolk Southern Railroad

• Widen PA 581 Eastbound for auxiliary lane between US 15 and I-83 Southbound ramp.

• Construct permanent passing lane and median shoulder of US 15 Northbound and Southbound.

 2010 Construction

US 15 – From Slate Hill Road Interchange to Gettysburg Road

• Construct permanent passing lane and median shoulder of US 15 Northbound and Southbound.

• Complete Ramp R Spur to Capital City Mall Drive.
