The following projected work activities are derived from
Walsh Construction Company’s anticipated schedule, and are subject to
change.
US 15
-
Traffic will remain in a long-term pattern, Stage 1, Phase 2, where
US 15 NB and SB traffic is shifted toward the median on the existing
passing lanes and temporary bituminous pavement in the median.
Nighttime lane closures are possible for construction activities.

Drill, blast and excavate new ramps at the Lower Allen Drive
Interchange.

Install new drainage facilities.
-
Construct retaining walls and sound barriers along US 15.
-
Extend existing box culvert over Cedar Run, just north of Slate Hill
Road.
PA 581
-
Traffic will remain in a long-term pattern, Stage 1, Phase 1A, where
PA 581 EB and WB traffic is shifted to the south. Two lanes of
unrestricted traffic in each direction will be maintained during the
daytime hours.
Nighttime lane closures are possible for the
placement of the new shoulders.

Construct foundations
columns, and pier caps for widening of Viaduct Bridge.

Replaced existing
concrete shoulders.
Capital City Mall Drive

Capital City Mall Drive is open in its final configuration. Temporary
single lane, alternating traffic patterns are possible to finish
median construction.

Mill rumble strips in median islands.
Hartzdale Drive
-
Traffic will remain in a long-term pattern where one lane of
Hartzdale traffic is maintained in each direction on the new
bituminous pavement. Left turn lanes are not maintained during this
long-term pattern.

Continue
reconstruction of Hartzdale Drive in the area of the Lower Allen
Drive Intersection.
Simpson Ferry Road
-
Traffic will remain
in a long-term traffic pattern where one lane of traffic is
maintained in each direction on the existing pavement and temporary
widening. Left turn lanes are maintained during this long-term
pattern.

Continue reconstruction of Simpson Ferry Road between
St. Johns Church Road and Gettysburg Road.
Lower Allen Drive (Formerly Zimmerman Drive)

Traffic will remain
in a long-term traffic pattern where one lane of traffic is
maintained in each direction on the existing pavement and temporary
widening. Left turn lanes are maintained during this long-term
pattern.

Continue reconstruction of Lower Allen Drive between
Simpson Ferry Road and Hartzdale Drive.
