Night, July 23rd – Beam Erection at I-81 Exit 44
Motorists
are advised that concrete beams will be placed along the Southbound side
of the I-81 bridge over PA 465 (Allen Road) at Exit 44.
Beginning
at 7:30 PM on Friday, July 23rd, crews will close the right
lane of southbound I-81 in order to place precast concrete I-Beams for
the new bridge structure spanning PA 465 (Allen Road).
Intermittent slowdowns of traffic on I-81 southbound may take place
while the beams are lifted into place. In addition, traffic along
PA 465 (Allen Road) will be restricted to one lane in the interchange
area, and traffic will be stopped while the beams are lifted and
secured. The operation is expected to be complete by midnight,
weather permitting.
Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the speed limit when
traveling through the construction work zone.
Saturday, July 17, 2010, Logistics Drive to Reopen
Motorists are advised that Logistics Drive, closed for reconstruction on
June 21st, will reopen to traffic on Saturday morning, July
17th.

Thursday, July 8, 2010, New On-Ramp to I-81 SB Opening
Motorists are advised that a new on-ramp to Southbound I-81 at the Exit
44 Interchange will open on Thursday, July 8th.
During the overnight hours on Wednesday, July 7th, crews will
place pavement markings, signage and channelizing devices within the
construction work zone. Once completed, traffic wishing to proceed
southbound on I-81 from Allen Road (SR 465) will travel along the new
on-ramp. The existing
on-ramp adjacent to the new ramp will close.
Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the speed limit when
traveling through the construction work zone.
Thursday, July 8, 2010, East Commerce Avenue (T-410) to Reopen
Motorists are advised that East Commerce Avenue (T-410), closed for
reconstruction on June 10th, will reopen to traffic on
Thursday morning, July 8th.
Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the speed limit when
traveling through the construction work zone.
UPDATE: Logistics Drive Detour to Start Monday, June 21st
[28 Calendar-Day Timeframe]
Logistics Drive, for a distance of approximately 500
feet off of Allen Road (SR 465) will be closed to all thru traffic for a
28 Calendar-day timeframe beginning Monday, June 21st.
Vehicular traffic wanting to access Logistics Drive from Allen
Road will be required to travel the detour route of Allen Road, Ritner
Highway (US 11) and Shearer Drive, as indicated on the attached map.
The section of Logistics Drive not affected by the
road closing will be accessible to local traffic from Ritner Highway.

Saturday, June 19, 2010, New Traffic Pattern along Allen Road (SR 465),
North of Ritner Highway (US 11)
Motorists are advised that a new traffic pattern will go into effect
during the early morning hours of Saturday, June 19th.
During the overnight hours on Friday, June 18th, crews will
be placing temporary pavement, pavement markings and signage within the
construction work zone. Once completed, northbound and southbound
traffic will be shifted to the east side of Allen Road (SR 465) between Ritner
Highway (US 11) and the northerly limits of the project. Motorists
will encounter single lane traffic patterns while the traffic shift
takes place.
Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the speed limit when
traveling through the construction work zone.

Commerce Avenue Detour Postponed until Thursday, June 10th

The East Commerce Avenue detour, previously scheduled to start on
Wednesday, June 9th, has been postponed due to weather
conditions and will begin on Thursday, June 10th.

East Commerce Avenue (T-410), for a distance of approximately 500 feet
east of Allen Road (SR 465) will be closed to all thru traffic for a

Vehicular traffic wanting to access East Commerce Avenue from Allen Road
will be required to travel the detour route of Allen Road and Alexander
Spring Road indicated on the map below. The portion of East
Commerce Avenue not affected by the road closing will be accessible to
local traffic from Alexander Spring Road.

Friday, May 28, 2010, New Traffic Pattern along Walnut Bottom Road (SR
465 / SR 3023)
Motorists
are advised that a new eastbound and westbound traffic pattern will be
in effect starting at noontime today, May 28, 2010.
On
Friday, May 28th,
crews will be resetting concrete barrier and placing temporary pavement
markings along the north side of Walnut Bottom Road (SR 465 / SR 3023)
within the construction work zone. Once completed, eastbound and
westbound traffic will be shifted to the north side of Walnut Bottom
Road. Motorists will encounter single lane traffic patterns
while the traffic shift takes place.
Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the speed limit when
traveling through the construction work zone.
Update: Thursday, May 20th and Friday, May
21st, New Traffic Pattern along Allen Road between Ritner
Highway (US 11) and Newville Road (PA 641), and along Ritner Highway
Motorists are advised that a new northbound and southbound traffic
pattern will be in effect starting Thursday, May 20th
at 6:00 AM.
Starting Wednesday, May 19th, after 6:00 PM, crews will place
approximately 300 feet of temporary pavement markings along the west
side of Allen Road (PA 465), immediately north of the intersection of
Ritner Highway (US 11) and Allen Road. Once completed, northbound
and southbound traffic will be shifted to the west side of Allen Road.
Motorists will encounter single lane traffic patterns between 6:00 PM
and 6:00 AM while the traffic shift takes place.
Starting Thursday, May 20th, after 6:00 PM, crews will continue placing
temporary pavement markings along the west side of Allen Road from the
intersection of Ritner Highway and Allen Road to the intersection of
Newville Road (PA 641) and Allen Road. Once completed, all traffic
will be shifted to the west side of Allen Road. Motorists will
encounter single lane traffic patterns between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM while
the traffic shift takes place.
Also, please be advised that the new traffic pattern along Ritner
Highway (US 11), previously scheduled to be in place starting at 6:00 AM
on Friday, May 14th, was postponed due to unforeseen conditions.
Work will be conducted during the overnight of Wednesday, May 19th and
traffic will be shifted to the North side of Ritner Highway by 6:00 AM
on Thursday, May 20th.

traveling through the construction work zone.

Pattern Along Ritner Highway (US 11)
Motorists are advised that a new eastbound
and westbound traffic pattern will be in effect starting Friday, May
14th at 6:00 AM.
Starting Thursday, May 13th, after 6:00 PM, crews
will place temporary pavement markings and signage along the north side
of Ritner Highway (US 11) at the intersection of Ritner Highway and
Allen Road (PA 465). Once completed, all traffic will be shifted to the
north side of Ritner Highway.
Motorists will encounter single lane traffic patterns
between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM while the traffic shift takes place.

Update: Saturday, May 1, 2010, Opening of New Off-Ramp from I-81 NB to
Allen Road (PA 465)
Starting Friday, April 30th
after 7:30 PM, motorists will encounter single lane traffic patterns
along the northbound lanes of I-81 as crews place temporary pavement
markings and relocate concrete barrier for the new Off-Ramp to PA 465
(Allen Road). The new ramp will be opened to vehicular travel on
May 1st,
when the existing off-ramp is closed for construction.
Please be advised that a temporary traffic signal is
in operation at the intersection of the new Off-Ramp and Allen Road.

Update: Sunday, April 18, 2010, New Traffic Pattern Along Southbound
I-81
Motorists are advised that a new southbound traffic pattern will be in
effect starting Sunday, April 18th at 10:00 AM.
Starting Saturday, April 17th, after 7:30 PM, crews will
place temporary pavement markings, signage and concrete barrier along
temporary pavement placed within the median area of I-81.
Traffic will be shifted onto the temporary pavement and across
the newly constructed bridge that spans PA 465 (Allen Road).
Motorists will encounter single lane traffic patterns between
7:30 PM and 10:00 AM while the traffic shift takes place.

traveling through the construction work zone.
Update: Monday, April 19, 2010, New Traffic Pattern Along Northbound
I-81
Motorists are advised that a new northbound traffic pattern will be in
effect starting Monday, April 19th at 6:00 AM.
Starting Sunday, April 18th, after 7:30 PM, crews will place
temporary pavement markings, signage and concrete barrier along
temporary pavement placed within the median area of I-81.
Traffic will be shifted onto the temporary pavement and across
