PENNDOT began using these signs in 2000 to underscore that the men and women working in construction work zones are fathers and mothers as well as sons and daughters -- and there are loved ones at home who look forward to them returning safe and sound. Unfortunately, not all of our workers are safe, and we lost Michael Jablonski two years ago when he was killed while working with his PENNDOT sign crew along Route 41 in Lancaster County. |
